Good morning, members of the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce. I am honoured to be your new Chair of the Board of Directors.
This is a humbling experience and I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me and I appreciate all of the support from the other Board Members and Administration who I will continue to lean on for their experience and advice. I look forward to working together to build on the successes of the past year and play a small part in charting a course for the future.
Over the past year, our Chamber has accomplished a great deal. We have supported local businesses, connected our members with resources, and advocated for policies that help our community thrive. We have been successful in promoting the vibrant business community in Chatham-Kent, and we have brought together business leaders from all sectors to collaborate and network. We have established ourselves as a trusted resource for our members, providing valuable information and support that helps them succeed. Our success is due in large part to the hard work and dedication of our members, staff, and volunteers. I am honoured to be part of such a dedicated group of individuals, and I am excited to continue working together to achieve our goals.
Looking ahead to the next year, we have ambitious plans for our Chamber. Our goal is to continue to build on our successes and make a real difference in the lives of our members and the community. We plan to focus on strengthening our partnerships with local businesses, community leaders, and government officials. We want to work together to identify and address the issues that are most important to our community and find solutions that benefit everyone. We also plan to expand our membership and provide even more value to our members. We will work to enhance our programs and services, and we will continue to offer networking opportunities that connect our members with the resources they need to succeed.
We will work to promote the Chamber values of integrity, diversity, inclusion and accountability in our organization and in the business community. We believe that a diverse and inclusive business environment benefits everyone, and we are committed to doing our part to make that a reality.
I want to thank you again for entrusting me as the Chair of the Board. I am honoured to be part of this organization and I look forward to working together to build on our successes and achieve our goals in the coming year.
